The Turmeric Lime Bone Broth Latte of Your Dreams

OK, OK, so I know what you’re thinking. A bone broth latte??? That sounds disgusting. Well, guess what? It’s delicious! And nutritious! And full of anti-inflammatory ingredients like turmeric and ginger, and lots of antioxidants like cilantro and lime.

Why add bone broth to your diet:⠀⠀⠀

  • SUPPORTS GUT HEALTH WITH NATURAL COLLAGEN AND GELATIN. Collagen contains amino acids such as glutamine that supports a healthy inflammatory response and helps repair the gut lining. Because the amino acids in collagen build the tissue that lines the colon and entire gastrointestinal tract, supplementing with collagen can support healthy digestive function.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • SUPPORTS JOINT MOBILITY. Gelatin provides us with building blocks that are needed to form and maintain strong bones.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • MAINTAINS HEALTHY SKIN. Collagen helps form elastin and other compounds within skin that are responsible for maintaining its youthful tone, texture and appearance. Collagen helps reduce the visible signs of wrinkles, decreasing puffiness and fighting various other signs of aging.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • BOOSTS DETOXIFICATION. Bone broth is considered a powerful detox agent since it helps the digestive system expel waste and promotes the liver’s ability to remove toxins. It also helps maintain tissue integrity and improves the body’s use of antioxidants with potassium and glycine.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you want to add EXTRA collagen (and be “extra” about it), my favorite brand is Vital Proteins collagen peptides. I prefer the unflavored version because you can put it in anything, but there are many different flavors if want those.

This latte contains homemade bone broth, along with turmeric, ginger, and black pepper to reduce inflammation, support digestion, and act as a perfect decaf morning beverage.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
MAKES 1 CUP
10 oz. bone broth⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tbsp. fresh turmeric or 1 tsp. ground⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tbsp. fresh ginger or 1 tsp. ground⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 lime (juice)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 tbsp. cilantro⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dash of black pepper⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
DIRECTIONS⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In a high-powered blender (Vitamix), mix all ingredients together and blend for 3-4 minutes, until hot and frothy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you don't have a Vitamix, blend all ingredients together and transfer to a saucepan on the stove. Simmer until hot and pour into your favorite mug.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Enjoy in your favorite chair, on the couch, in your backyard, on the go, or snuggled up with your current book!
